Chocolate Muffins Raise Hundreds for WIRES Bushfire Appeal:

14 January 2020

With the Nation’s bushfire crisis on everyone’s minds, the children of South Perth Early Childhood Centre wanted to do their part “to help the animals” affected by this ongoing tragedy. Their idea was to bake and sell their own chocolate muffins, in the hopes to raise money for the WIRES Bushfire Appeal. For only a gold coin donation, the egg and dairy-free muffins raised $200 in two days, and a total of $410 over two weeks, thanks to the SPECC staff and families who supported this wonderful cause.

Nature Playground Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony:

23 October 2019

Not even some cloudy skies and rain could dampen the excited mood today at the official unveiling and ribbon-cutting of South Perth Early Childhood Centre’s brand new Nature Playground. Designed by Bernhard Kaiser from Nature Play WA, and made possible by a very generous $65,000 grant from Lotterywest, the space encourages unstructured, outdoor nature play for the children at SPECC.
